Description: Lactulose (4-O-beta-D-galactopyranosyl-D-fructose) is a disaccharide consisting of the remains of galactose and fructose molecules, a synthetic stereoisomer of lactose in milk sugar. In nature it does not occur.
Functions: Constipation (including chronic); the need to soften the stool for medical purposes (with hemorrhoids, the need for a surgical operation on the large intestine and / or anal opening, pain syndrome after removal of hemorrhoids, in the postoperative period); hepatic encephalopathy, including coma and prekom (treatment and prevention); hyperammonemia; intestinal dysbiosis; enteritis caused by salmonella, shigella, salmonella; a syndrome of putrefactive dyspepsia (in children of early age as a result of acute food poisoning).
