WHAT IS D-RIBOSE?
D-Ribose is a carbohydrate naturally found in all cells of the body.
D-Ribose is an important pentose (5-carbon) sugar used by the body to synthesize DNA, RNA and provide energy.
Ribose is metabolized to 5-phosphoribosyl-1-pyrophosphate (PRPP), which is a rate-limiting substance used in nucleotide synthesis.
